How To Wear Prints

Part I: With Melange Mode + Books & Ballads

Now, if you follow me on any of my social media platforms, you'd know by now that I have a thing for prints. I don't know what it is. It may be how the colors compliment each other or how unique each print is, whatever it is, I LOVE PRINTS.

Normally, I'd wear prints as a head wrap. I went through a phase of wearing wraps to every event I had within a 6-month time frame. I just couldn't get enough of the versatility of these prints. It's not until Melangemode mentioned that she'd love to make me a skirt, I realized I was addicted.

The following weekend, I had a getaway with the tribe and decided it was the perfect ensemble for our brunch date.

To keep it simple, cute but still a little casual, I paired my skirt with my Books + Ballads tee shirt. I know! I'm totally a 'book lover', so it seemed appropriate. The color was bright and I needed the shirt to play its neutral part. Then I added my Dashia heels from JustFab for a slight contrast in color. Needless to say, I was overwhelmed by compliments on not just my tee and heels, but as well as my beautiful new skirt.

I would suggest getting measured prior to getting your own skirt made. Sometimes getting a handmade item that fits too big or small will not compliment your body type.

How do you feel about prints? Would you prefer a skirt or a dress?
Let me know your thoughts below!

XOXO,
Bella
