Blues On Blue

Remember my trip to Palm Springs two weeks ago (read here)? Well, I couldn't help myself by dressing up and snapping a few pics of my outfits before heading out. Thankfully, I'm an over-packer. I'm that friend that walks with 6 different options even though I'm staying over for the night. I'm not ashamed. I rather being overprepared than looking busted in these streets.

This outfit was for a dinner out in the town with the BFF before heading back to the Big Apple. It was nice out and I wanted to be a little comfy yet prepared for the change in temperature later on. I started with a simple linen shirt and paired it perfectly with the culotte. For comfort, I slipped on my loafers and added a little drama/contrast with my shades. For the final touch, I picked up my Nubian Princess Warrior clutch, since I like to walk around with my battery pack + iPad and strutted out the front door.

Although I'm familiar with tight clothing occasionally for dinner, the loose fitting of both the shirt and pants provided a cozy feel while consuming some delicious food. As for the loafers, I was able to walk around in for hours without worrying about being grumpy because my feet were unhappy.  Needless to say, dinner went well and I am now inspired to try new trends without overdoing it.
Next vacation, I may just try some random potato sack with sneakers. Haha! Stay sexy, stay comfy.
