Hair Routine

For those who have graced my DM a few times inquiring about my hair regiment/routine, here are the products I use and stand by everyday. When I first started my locs, I use to put everything in, including over the counter products that did more damage than good. Thankful for a young lady by the name of Afika, who suggested Dr. Bronners as a cleanser in my early years. Ever since then, nothing else touched my scalp. Dr. Bronners cleans my hair so well that it feels light after every wash. Of course after every wash, you have to condition. I tend to use Mango & Lime Protein Conditioner to sooth my scalp after my wash and to help with growth. Finally, we end the routine with Journey's Mother Raw Coconut Oil. This is used in liquid form for moisturizing and retwisting. However, using the right products may be great, but health is also an addition. Your hair is what you consume. I take Biotin twice a week and consume at least 10 glasses of water of everyday.

My routine and regiment may not be for you. Therefore, I highly suggest sitting down with a Locologist (Yannie) or a natural hair specialist to understand what works best for you.

All the best to you and your loc journey.
